I enjoy the peace and energy inside my body while I am painting, therefore I expect viewers feel quiet and supportable when they are watching my artwork. I don't make perfect work, but the work expressive, interesting, sexy and thinking. Most of my works are whimsical and abstract depicting architecture and belief. Not only painting, I am also interested in sculpture and video, in which I try to build up a gene-code among different materials. In addition, I am so active to use collage, print and carving in one piece.
Travelling always makes me exciting. I have nearly been all provinces in China; while I visit Europe, America and Asia frequently. Accordingly travelling is my important inspiration. I take pictures during the trip and then paint them. This is the origin of the series of Dome and Dessert.
There are a lot of supporters in my career, who always nourish my art life. Wei Ligang and Geraint Evans are my important tutors respectively in China and London. Besides, Simon Callery, Thomas Scheibitz and Frank Nitsche influence me and shape my work. Moreover, I have to mention Julian Russell, Stephen Gilligan and Anando who wake me up and guide me to find my life talent, that is definitely painting.
